The leading international welding equipment manufacturer Kemppi has released a new X5 FastMig multi-process welding system for MIG, DC TIG and rod welding (MMA) and gouging. X5 FastMig is designed in conjunction with professional welders who specialize in steel welding and provides a range of features that help to significantly increase arc welding productivity.

X5 FastMig is manufactured with energy-saving inverter technology. Thanks to Touch Sense Ignition, easy operation, excellent welding ergonomics and flexible equipment settings, it can provide faster welding and high-quality welding.

Faster welding, better welding quality

X5 FastMig is designed for execution, using the latest ignition technology-Touch Sense Ignition-as standard configuration for all available models. When combined with WiseSteel software (standard on every model), X5 provides precise ignition capability and stable arc control.

It solves the challenge of spherical arc by alternating between short arc and spray transfer. In the short-circuit transition, it can adaptively improve the arc stability and provide better steel dislocation welding ability. In the spray transmission mode, the micro-pulses of current and voltage significantly increase the travel speed. In doing so, X5 helps to minimize the spatter generated by the traditional spherical arc and the need for post-weld cleaning, saving the welder valuable time and cost, and at the same time helping to provide better quality welds.

For more challenging applications, the arc control can be further optimized through optional welding procedures and Wise special processes.

X5 FastMig is designed to be barrier-free and very easy to operate. It has a large graphic and impact-resistant TFT display panel that can clearly explain all the necessary information and does not use abbreviations. When the user adjusts the wire feeding speed, the welding parameters are automatically set. The memory channel can also be used to customize and save personal settings.

Easy to use, it only takes 10 minutes to master the basic operation of X5. In addition, the sturdy rotation and buttons of the wire feeder can be operated with or without gloves, helping to save time and increase productivity.

With the welder as the design concept, the ergonomically designed top-loading wire feeder improves the occupational safety when replacing the welding wire spool because it reduces the pressure on the user's back. Even in a dual setup, the wire feeder can be hung and adjusted to multiple different angles for quick and easy access.

The Flexlite GX welding torch is specially designed for use with X5. It has an ergonomic design that also provides comfort and helps reduce welder fatigue. Each welding torch is very light, equipped with a flexible cable device and an innovative ball joint cable protection device, which can reduce the burden on the welder's wrist.

In addition, the design of the pistol grip makes it feel like an extension of the welder's hand. Providing excellent balance, it allows a natural wrist position, which makes the job at hand easier and easier, especially when performing long welds.

The GXR10 remote control on the welding torch allows parameters to be adjusted at the welding joint, even during the welding process.

X5's modular system allows users to choose from a range of excellent accessories to ensure the best solution for each application. These include transportation devices, interconnecting cables of various lengths, and wired remote controls.

In addition, users can build their own machines with the help of X5 FastMig Selector, an online configurator tool that allows welders to easily choose the most suitable equipment for their investment.

The X5 series are made in Finland, sturdy and durable. X5 FastMig uses an injection-molded plastic shell that can absorb shocks and, together with an impact-resistant display panel, ensures that the machine can withstand challenging environments.
