Dover-New Hampshire Automobile Dealers Association Educational Foundation, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Center in New Hampshire, Tully Collision Center, Portsmouth Auto Body Center, Hampton Ford Collision Center, and McFarland Ford Body Shop, have Donated a new type of ultra-high-strength steel welder to the United States for the Dover High School and Regional Vocational Technical Center's car collision repair program.

The new Spanesi Q5.2 welder keeps Dover's procedures in sync with the welding practices required by the latest vehicles. The latest vehicles often contain ultra-high-strength steel, which cannot be welded by traditional welding methods. The welding machine is a multi-function three cutting torch MIG/MAG inverter, which can weld silicon bronze, aluminum and steel.

"Industry partners work with local educators to open up the career path of their choice for today's students. Students can get a vocational certificate when they graduate, which allows them to seamlessly enter the labor market", Jessie, Executive Director, NHADA Education Foundation Said Jessica Dade.

Spanesi is a long-time supporter of Dover High School and has provided very popular discounts for welders and various tools over the years, including spray booths, preparation stations and paint mixing rooms.

"Students look forward to learning how MIG brazing works and gaining the skills to create proper welds. This is a great tool they can use, because being proficient in different types of welding makes them easier to be employed in the industry," Said Nathan Kalway, a car crash repair lecturer.

"Harvard Pilgrim is excited to work with the NH Automobile Dealer Education Foundation to fund the new Spanesi Q5.2 welder for the Dover CTE collision program. Partnerships like this are essential to support the future NH workforce." Harvard Pilgrim Said Bill Brewster, vice president of marketing for NH Healthcare.

"We are very grateful to the NHADA Education Foundation and local companies for all their support for our car repair and collision program in Dover over the years," said CTC Director Samantha Tukey. "It is this connection that helps our project continue to develop and develop to meet the needs of employers in our community who want to hire our students after graduation."
