Campfires and the use acetylene cutting, electric arc welders and metal grinding must be at least a 15-foot radius away from burnable materials. Any use of gas lanterns, jellied petroleum, portable stoves, pressurized liquid fuel and open fire branding must also be at least 15 feet away from burnable materials, according to the WGFC.

Fireworks are prohibited in WGFC lands at all times. Fires are not allowed any time of year in the John and Annie Woodhouse access area and North Platte River access areas.

Contact the WGFD Laramie Region Office for more information at 307-745-4046.

LARAMIE – A fire of several hundred acres in size has been burning in a nearby national forest, according to federal authorities.
