Wyoming Game and Fish issues fire restrictions in six counties, including Natrona - Casper, WY Oil City News

CASPER, Wyo. — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department announced this week fire restrictions affecting Game and Fish managed lands in six counties, including Natrona.

The fire restrictions impacting lands in Natrona and Converse County were announced Thursday and were in conjunction with Bureau of Land Management restrictions in effect in both counties. Restrictions impacting lands in Goshen and Laramie County were announced Wednesday. The restrictions in these four counties are in effect.

Restrictions in Johnson and Crook County will take effect Friday, July 22, Game and Fish announced Friday.

In Natrona and Converse County, the restrictions only allow fires in fire rings if fires are allowed in the area. Charcoal fires are allowed withing enclosed grills. Acetylene cutting, electric arc welders and metal grinding must be conducted in a 15-foot radius cleared of burnable materials. 

A 15-foot radius cleared of burnable material is also required for the use of portable stoves, lanterns using gas, jellied petroleum, pressurized liquid fuel or fully enclosed stove and open-fire branding activities.

Fireworks are banned on all Wyoming Game and Fish lands in the state at all times.

In Converse County, fires are prohibited year-round at these Game and Fish areas:
