Coe Press Equipment, Sterling Heights, Mich., has shipped an 18-in. coil processing line to Variety Die & Stamping, a Dexter, Mich., manufacturer of precision stampings and assemblies for the automotive and lawn and garden industries.

The coil processing line comprises a series 1 servo roll feed, a series 250 18-in. power straightener, an 18-in. by 12-ft. threading table, and an 18-in. coil reel with 10,000-lb. capacity. It is designed to process mild steel coils up to 18 in. wide and 50,000-PSI yield. The line can handle material thicknesses from 0.020 to 0.156 in., depending on the material width, and achieve a roll speed of 392 FPM with a feed accuracy of +/-0.003 in.

The system features the SyncMaster Touch integrated controller, which allows operators to manage the feed and straightener functions, setups, and diagnostic reviews from a single touchscreen.
